I am committed to increasing awareness of HIV/AIDS and to helping persons living with this disease. I will be participating in AIDS Walk New York 2009 scheduled for May 17, 2009 and I need your help. Please sponsor me in AIDS Walk New York, a 10 kilometer walkathon that benefits Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC), in addition to 60 other local AIDS service organizations in the tri-state area. For the past 25 years, GMHC has been dedicated to providing equal access to healthcare, prevention education, and advocacy to their clients, regardless of ability to pay.
By pledging to be a Star Walker, I have set a goal to raise more than $1,000 for AIDS Walk New York. Please support me by contributing $25, $50, $100, or whatever you can online at:
During my campaign from April 15 to May 17, 2009, all of my net proceeds from sales of “Keep Walkin’ On” will go to AIDS Walk New York.
With your help, I will “keep walking on” in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Thank you.

As a singer and songwriter, Jami performs for LifeBeat, an organization that brings music to persons living with HIV and AIDS. She has also performed in the “R&B Against AIDS” showcases started by Maria Davis, a prominent AIDS activist. She participated in the MTV-U and Kaiser Foundation, “Pos Or Not” internet and commercial campaign to combat HIV stigmatism. She was featured along with 3 other young people, in a BET News documentary called, “Are You Positive” that aired on December 1, 2008, the World AIDS Day. These performances and activities help to increase awareness of HIV and AIDS and inform our community that you can’t tell who has HIV by just looking at them.
